Concept design for the Feliks "Papa" Stamm monument.

A sculpture project of Feliks “Papa” Stamm, created by me many years ago. It was the first proposal for his monument.
The intention was to present him as a man working from the ground up — a coach who understands that success requires effort and focus. Stamm lived in the communist era, when the idea of achieving success through hard work was strongly emphasized. I decided to portray him as someone fully aware of both success and the price that must be paid for it — that only consistency, perseverance, and hard work lead to real results. 
Stamm had many outstanding students — boxers who won numerous titles and medals — which is why I depicted him surrounded by championship belts. He carries them, wrapped in an almost overwhelming number. 
The composition is arranged diagonally, emphasizing the dynamism of the sculpture, but also a sense of reflection and concern. He appears as if he is looking around a training hall, checking what his students have left behind. 
The project was designed with a bronze realization in mind and was intended to be placed in front of Hala Mirowska in Warsaw. It was created as a private commission, but eventually a competition was announced and another project was selected. I did not submit this work to the competition.
The project was preserved in resin; only two copies exist, both held in my private collection.
